Dasheri is a variety of delicious mango grown in different parts of North India.This mango is known for its natural flavor and rich taste.

In the 18th century, the Dasheri mango first appeared in the gardens of Nawab of Lucknow. Since then, numbers of Dasheri plants have multiplied and planted in many parts of India.

People from the village Dasheri near Kakori in Uttar Pradesh believe that they have the mother plant of Dasheri mango which has given this variety of mango its name.

Malihabad in Uttar Pradesh is the largest producer of Dasheri mangoes.

Dasheri mango is a very decilicious and tasty variety of mango. The origin of Dasheri mango in India dates back to 18th century, when a tree of Dasheri was planted in the garden of a Nawab of Lucknow. Since then this plant has been introduced in almost all the Mango growing regions of the Indian Subcontinent, like Lucknow, Malihabad, South Punjab etc. Dasheri Mango is exported to several countries around the globe.

For quick profit, people use unusual artificial ripening techniques using chemicals, which can cause serious illness.One should never eat early season mangoes, which are ripened in this way. One should not eat these mangoes before 15 June in India.
